On Halloween, Henderson Mill Dental Care celebrated by going back in time to the 1950’s. Our doctors and staff got into the costumed roles, and several staff members coordinated their efforts. Many of the ladies dressed as “Pink Ladies,” but we had other 50’s attire too. We were clothed in poodle skirts, lots of pink scarves, plaid shirts, cuffed jeans and leather. Our Team enjoyed treats for breakfast and a luncheon in the break room, which was creatively decorated by Business Assistant, Charlotte, who had came in on Sunday to surprise everyone. Charlotte brought in many delicious food items like homemade breakfast pastries, “mummies’ in a blanket, and specialty Halloween homemade cakes to share for breakfast and lunch. Staff also brought in a few items to share like meat balls, a dip and chocolate pretzel spiders. Throughout the day patients were asked which costume they liked the best. At the end of the day, Assistant, Korlu was awarded best costume. We unanimously agreed, and she was awarded with a basket of goodies that included an assortment of tea, coffee, chocolates, taffy, a mug, lotion and a candle.
On November 1st and 2nd we also held our annual Halloween candy buy-back benefiting Kashi Atlanta’s Street Meals program. We offered $2 per pound of candy that was brought in by our local community during the two day period. We always enjoy learning what the children will do with their money. This year we collected nearly 94 pounds of candy for the program, which will supply one piece of candy per lunch for Atlanta’s homeless. A big Thank You goes to those of you who contributed, and we look forward to continuing the tradition next year.
