Henderson Mill Dental Care staff and doctors participated in the 104th Thomas P. Hinman Dental Meeting held on March 17th-19th. The annual event was held at the Georgia World Congress Center. HMDC participants gain a wealth of knowledge by attending the meetings and lectures as well as learn about the latest dental materials and technological developments.

Dr. Uetsuki, as a Hinman member, volunteered as a Clinic Captain in assisting the lecturers on Friday. He also attended various lectures on Saturday as did Dr. Soulimiotis and staff.

On Friday evening, Dr. Uetsuki and his wife attended the Keynote session to introduce the meeting’s featured clinicians and Keynote Speaker, Captain Richard Phillips. Captain Phillips spoke of his capture by Somali pirates who hijacked his ship in April 2009. His lecture was captivating with a personal message of motivation to not give up and that we are able to accomplish way more than we could ever imagine. The evening wrapped up at the Delta Museum for the President’s Dinner.

On Saturday evening Dr. Uetsuki, many staff members, and spouses attended Hinman’s Night Out. This year’s theme was Dancing in the Dome. Guests were asked to dress in attire from their favorite decade. The evening included a costume contest, a parachute prize drop on the field, and a photo booth.

Hinman is the largest Dental Meeting in the Southeast and again has proven to be a fun-filled learning experience. We look forward to attending in 2017.
